The class-leading, 2kDal patented hydrolysed marine collagen peptides used in skinade trigger fibroblast proliferation (firing up our natural collagen production) leading to increased skin thickness and therefore a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. The hydrolysed marine collagen peptides also trigger the HAS2 receptors in the dermis which promotes the production of hyaluronic acid resulting in improved skin hydration.

The Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen Peptides in skinade have a low molecular weight. The collagen fibres formed, strengthen the collagen matrix in the dermis. Collagen improves skin elasticity by increasing the density of fibroblasts (the cells responsible for rebuilding connective tissue) and improves skin hydration and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
Drinking skinade also stimulates the body’s own natural collagen production. When the body senses collagen in the blood stream, it stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts reinforcing the collagen matrix and playing a critical role in wound healing.

These images (42-year-old female) are taken from an independent double-blind placebo controlled clinical case study designed to evaluate the effect of a 90-day course of skinade on global skin rejuvenation of the face. The independent trial was carried out by Santi Labs London. The cortex images (ultra sound) show a 58% increase in collagen density from day 0 to day 90 (increase in yellow intensity). The photo microscopy shows clear improvement to skin texture and quality with a 30% increase in skin hydration over the same period.
